PERU LUZ DE ESPERANZA, is a private, non-profit organization, founded in December 2006 and legally established in September 2007 with RUC No. 20486706105. PERU LUZ DE ESPERANZA (PASPLE) was created as a Social Support Program, in order to generate development in rural areas of the central Andes of Peru. Primarily, PASPLE is aimed at helping the disadvantaged and those with minimal opportunities.
With the assistance of international volunteers, the people of these communities can develop their skills and abilities through involvement in various projects. Ultimately, PASPLE seeks to aid community development and thereby improve their quality of life.
PERU LUZ DE ESPERANZA provides a unique opportunity for those abroad to experience cultural exchange in a traditional Peruvian village. Whilst applying their skills and contributing to our international goals, international volunteers have the opportunity to engage in Andrean culture whilst simultaneously allowing the children to experience their foreign culture. In this way, the future horizons and potential options of the local youth is broadened.
"Peru light of hope" has been created with the aim to set up an
integral volunteering program in the rural communities concerned with children and
youths, as we believe that they hold the future of our country in their hands.
At "Peru Light of Hope" our mission is to offer sustainable support for the most needy children and youths
of our region.. This is thanks to the joint work of professionals from Huancayo who
are familiar with the poverty in our country together with the
support from volunteers
from all over the world.
Here in Peru exists class division, social discrimination and the neglect of the
Andean people. The help offered by the government only reaches the urban regions
and merely a little bit, or nothing, is done for the children and adolescents who
live in the villages around Huancayo. Hence, the education of a child from a village
is completely different to that of a child from the city; therefore children from
the villages have even fewer opportunities.
Our vision is to help people suffering the greatest poverty around Huancayo, and
in Peru. We offer economic, academic and social help to all the children and victims
of abuse and neglect. It is our intention to be one of the first programs in the child's social development, fostering in them an education with ethical and
moral values.
The reward that we and all volunteers look forward to is the smile
of an adolescent or child, to inspire us to continue helping more people in our
country.
