Ingenio:
This is a center of trout breeding. One can also enjoy typical dishes that they are sell on the route to the fish farms. It is a nice way to be in touch with nature and to enjoy it.

Santa
Rosa de Ocopa: This is a historical museum where there are the most ancient books about the époque of the 'Virreynato', ancient animals and many aspects of the Huancayo culture and many more.

Paca Lake:
This center of navigation is situated in the South zone of Huancayo. There are many legends about this lake, according to one of which there used to be a village in its place. According to the legend, a flood buried the village underneath the water, so that all what remained was this lake, full of 'totora' (plants of the lake). Around it, we can find many restaurants that sell the famous trout and other typical dishes of the zone and, not to dismiss, the lake's leisure camps.
La Colombina: This is a very lively recreational center, situated in the South zone of Huancayo. It is a place for health recreation. There is a swimming pool, a place for typical food, sport fields where you can play and enjoy ourself with your family.
Church "La Inmaculada Concepción":
This beautiful
church, located one block of houses from the 'Huamanmarca' park, also has a library
specialized invarious topics.
Parque Andres Avelino Cacares: This is the principal park of the metropolitan 'Tambo'
district, park constructed in honor of the Marshall Andres Avelino Caceres, who
stood out in the Peruvian defense in the Andes during the Chilean invasion (1879).
Barrio de Pio Pata:
This is one of the main areas of the 'Tambo' district.
There is a beautiful pier, from which you can see the 'Florida' urbanization and
a part of Huancayo.
Quebrada Honda: This beautiful
natural landscape is located at the entrance of Huancayo. It is a rural place, which
offers beautiful sights of nature, including the Mantaro valley. Around there are
several villages, and several recreational areas for tourists.
Calle Real (legendary 'Calle de los
Incas': Between 1490 and 1590,
this street was called CAMINO REAL DE LOS INCAS. Nowadays, it has many shops. Being
the main road of the city, it comprises approximately 50 blocks of houses.
Parque de la Constitucion (Constitution Park):
Previously this park was called 'plaza
pardo' (brown place). It received the name 'Parque de la Constitucion' in 1813.
Parque Huamanmarca: The word 'Huamanmarca'
has been derived from two words in Quechua: 'Huama', meaning falcon and
'Marca', meaning place or village.
The park is located in the center of the city and is the most ancient place of Huancayo.
It was here, where Huancayo was founded on the 1st June 1572 by Jeronimo de Silva.
Salesiano Museum: This museum
is part of the Salesian school. In it, a big variety of the fauna of the central
rain forest has been maintained. There are 7,068 zoological samples (birds, mammals,
reptiles), paleontological exemplars, and others.
Capilla la merced (chapel of mercy):
This has been declared a historical monument. In 1839, the constitution
was elaborated and formed, in these precincts.
Cerrito de la libertad (hill of liberty): It is situated at a 1km from Huancayo, at the end
of the Giraldez avenue. It is called 'el mirador' (the viewpoint), as, from there,
one can appreciate the panorama of the city of Huancayo. It has an accoustic shell
for artistic activities by different cultures, children's games, parks, a beautiful
chapel and a zoo.

Torre torre:
This is a natural rock formation, consisting in a ensemble of tower-like shapes,
formed by wind and rain. It is situated 1.5 km from the Cerrito de la libertad.



Parque de la Identidad Wanka: Situated in the North-East of the city
of Huancayo, this park, is completely made of stone, giving a feel of the experiences
and traditions of the Wanka culture, in order to perpetuate the memory of the most
outstanding executors of Andean music.
