Activities
Spanish
classes:
Our organization offers Spanish classes
for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels, for all volunteers. We consider
it to be necessary for you to know some Spanish, at least at a basic level, in order
to enable you to have a better communication with the children and adolescents.
However, it is up to you whether you want to take lessons. From 1-2 hours of Spanish
classes will be provided on a daily basis, depending on your time of stay in Huancayo.
Please consult the link on costs, to find out about the prices of Spanish classes.
Weaving classes:
These are for all those volunteers who wish to know a
little bit more about our culture. Weaving is done by hand, using sheep and alpaca
wool. You can learn to make ponchos, blankets, quilts, bedspreads and many more
works of wool, as it is simple to do, and especially because we are very knowledgeable
of the art of weaving, considering that it has been passed on to us by our ancestors.
Please consult the link on costs, to find out about the price of weaving classes.
Dances and Typical Songs
Class (It includes gift CD of typical music):
Also we offer Dance's lessons and Song's lessons for you, so that you can
learn dances and typical songs of our rural places, also you can enjoy and to know
more about the typical dress and the most important you will know our Andean culture.
The dance class is very dynamic and amused.

A GIFT FOR YOU
A gift for you a CD of the lady Eva Chinchilla, She is
an artist and typical singer recognized in our region.

Commentary:
The Dance's lessons and Weaving lessons have a very interesting combination
are very valuable resources and practiced by our ancestors it is a very good idea
to share the voluntary work with cultural free times. The lessons of Dance and song
are an excellent combination to demonstrate certain artistic abilities that you
did not know before.
Free time:
After work, there are a few places that you can
go to, to enjoy yourself, or perhaps to try out and enjoy some of our traditional
dishes. Huancayo has a whole range of bars and restaurants, which is why the city
has been characterized as an incommensurable city (if the volunteer wishes so, someone
will introduce him to some of the places). It is up to the volunteer whether he
prefers to use his time going dancing, going to listen to typical music, eating
out, or enjoying other attractions that the center of the city has to offer.
