Construction of Tables and chairs
With the same enthusiasm, Paul helped us build tables and chairs, a project that lasted 3 weeks. After they were finished, the genuine gratefulness and joy expressed by the four families whom we gave them to was priceless, and reward enough for Paul and ourselves. Everyone was happy.

School for Parents
The school for parents was where the grateful presence of Julie and Nigel was felt most. Their experiences and comments created a magnificent intercultural exchange, fortifying previously planted ideas about how to live in a harmonious family. The talks were entitled "No to family violence" and took place over three weeks. Getting good reviews and fantastic responses, we completed the series with pleasure and happiness to see that the parents could still learn.
We continue with the schools for parents as we learn together.

Helping the Children Sleep Easy
Peru Luz de Esperanza, from time to time, visit the families of the children to address any specific needs they may have. Whilst a variety of issues were identified, the most crucial was the sleeping arrangements of the children. It proved necessary to provide beds for the two families in need. A team of three set out to construct two beds for the children. Whilst the work was difficult, the gratitude and smiles of the kids made the task worthwhile.

Medical Control
With the first rains came October, with October came the beautiful Rosalyn Davies and Elizabeth Lephart from a familiar Australia for us, and Rosalyn and Elizabeth get the opportunity to make a medical control our children. Thus it was that Rosalyn Davies, our "Dr. Rosita", with assisted by Elizabeth Lephart, the lovely "Miss elicita" check to the students of PASPLE in a medical appointments took two weeks and delivered a encouraging conclusion: which fortunately not many children have extreme conditions. However, it was obvious the ugly symptoms of early malnutrition, poor hygiene, neglect of the teeth, health problems that creeps down from generation to generation in our environment, perhaps because it is a distant place, where families , for the most neglected health, to prioritize food, clothing and everyday survival. It was certainly a major step for us to know the level of health of our children, a diagnosis would not have been possible without these significant women such as Rosalyn and Elizabeth for us, and remember them as: as a beautiful ladies that appreciable one day they went noon and will wait to see to them again.
